Chapter one - R. R. Warrior and the mind charmer, The desert.
I woke up in the frying pan of hell.
Everything around me was on fire, bright red, bright blue, bright gold. My eyes couldn't take it, but I forced myself to keep them open so I could understand where I was at.
After some moments of excruciating pain and heat, I gave up and dropped my body to the ground. I was sure I was alone, though. No sound came from around me except the hollow whisper of the wind. No voices, no steps, no anything.
My lips felt as sand, which seemed understandable as I seemed to be lying down on top of the sand. It was probably a desert. I tried to open my eyes once again and now I had a clearer vision. An endless land. Everything nearby looked so inhospitable that I felt horribly alone. The fact the there was no one there to help me made me panic. Plus the heat. It cooked me from inside out. My organs soft, my skin fried. Want some sauce to dip me in?
While my breath became heavier, I continued to look around, still feeling pain from the clarity of the landscape. The place almost shouted to me how unwanted I was. Apparently, anything was unwanted there, even flora.
I tried out my legs, standing up and taking a couple of steps. They seemed fine.
I was desperate to go anywhere with water. My throat felt harsh and sickly dry. I would drink my own blood if I had anything to cut my skin with.
Walking helped though. I hot wind came in my direction, but I enjoyed it almost too much.
My face felt the hottest part of my body. With the tip of my fingers, I touched my cheeks and they felt as hot as the ground below my feet.
Maybe It wouldn't take much longer now.
I didn't pay much attention to how long I was walking, but it seemed like too long. The sky was turning pink.
